Volunteering at Eden

The role of volunteers at Eden is to provide links between visitors and the project; to increase public awareness of our activities and charitable status and to highlight our work in conservation, education and sustainability.

Volunteers play a big part in making Eden an even friendlier and more interesting place for all our visitors.
Volunteers at Eden

Volunteers become involved in a wide range of activities and the project tries to make use of  peoples specific talents. Eden does however, need help in certain areas and a commitment of at least 72 hours service per year.

Eden is committed to providing opportunities for volunteers from all backgrounds and abilities and the project is wheelchair accessible.

Volunteers are not expected to have any prior knowledge and will receive plenty of support and training from our staff. Participation in relevant training events is part of volunteering and enables helpers to talk to all our visitors in an informed, yet informal manner - as is the Eden way.

Volunteering is ideal for getting involved at Eden and for enjoying the company of people with similar interests. The work is varied, educational and interesting as well as enormously enjoyable and satisfying.

For Health and Safety reasons prospective volunteers must be over 16 years of age.
