Spring has Sprung...
...and Eden is looking fabulous, even if we do say so ourselves. The outdoor landscape is a multi-coloured patchwork of tulips in full bloom, there are poppies from California and South Africa in the Mediterranean Biome, and don’t miss the finale of English wild flowers including bluebells, campions and violets. Between the Biomes (our really big greenhouses) our kitchen garden is bursting into life with mint, marjoram, chicory and chard and our hanging baskets are packed with violas, pansies, cyclamen, crocus, white daffodil, hellebores, and silver helicrysum and Ivy. It looks, and smells, amazing.
The Zip Wire opens on April 26th
Show no fear as you speed along our zip wire... witness brilliant and unique views as you fly along the wire from one side of Eden to the other – landing between the Biomes. £10 a ride, weather permitting.

At The Cooperative Insurance Sexy Green 2008 car show we present the pioneers who are making breakthroughs in aerodynamics, new fuels, engines and ultra-light materials so we can all drive with a cleaner conscience and help cut the UK’s road transport carbon emissions by 80% when we reach 2050. For the kids, we have a tabletop racetrack - the first racetrack in the world to need no fossil fuels as it’s powered by pedalpower. More on the Sexy Green Car show
Shape Shifters: the Secret Life of Leaves

A major new exhibition of plant pictures that blurs the boundaries between art and science. The work takes the form of more than 100 photograms (images made by placing an object directly on to photographic paper and exposing it to light) that explore the phenomenon of how plants adapt to their environment. The exhibition will appeal to the art lover, the botanist and the scientist. Entry included in standard Eden admission price.
Sea Change

This question is addressed by the exciting and thought-provoking performance piece SeaChange: Reversing the Tide. Including the poetry of Shakespeare, Shelley, Robert Frost and others, SeaChange: Reversing the Tide offers an expose of the consequences of humanity’s current indifference to natural laws.
