Autumn, we love it here at the Eden Project. When this season arrives to mark the transition from summer to winter it can be hard to shake off that melancholy, “back-to-school” type feeling as the possibilities of summer (or possibility of having a summer) disappear and a long, cold, dark winter awaits. But there’s no denying how beautiful this time of the year is, and so we’re up for celebrating everything about autumn in 2009.

On-site at the Eden Project the colours and flavours of the season take centre stage with our giant Global Garden Harvest. The outdoor gardens and the Mediterranean Biome look particularly stunning at this time of year, taking on rich, warm hues. Don’t miss the spectacular ginger lily in the Mediterranean Biome or our array of fantastic autumn veg in the garden.

If you’re coming to visit us join in our bulb planting workshops and see your efforts rewarded when our spring 2010 displays burst into flower, and while you’re at it don’t miss the chance to pick up insider tips from our very own Green Team.

Our autumn photo gallery has some really great pics and we’ll keep updating this throughout the season. Don’t forget you can add your own to our Flickr group.
