For a bit of fun, every Friday our Plant Records Manager, Chris Bisson, the guy who maintains all the recorded information on our plant collections, will do a regular blog slot where he recommends his favourite “plant records” – that is, songs that are in some way linked to a plant. Malus domestica or apple is a really important fruit crop for us here in Cornwall, the county of great cider! 

The Apples, a band with musicians from all over the globe are in a way like a great deal of our cultivated Malus domestica, where the combined traits from different cultures come together and produce something great.
