Grapes Galore! It’s Plant Record time…

(For a bit of fun, every Friday our Plant Records Manager, Chris Bisson, the guy who maintains all the recorded information on our plant collections, will do a regular blog slot where he recommends his favourite “plant records” – that is, songs that are in some way linked to a plant. (Do you see what we did there?) )

Eden’s grapevines Vitis Vinifera have never looked healthier, with abundant bunches of ripe black and white fruit to be seen currently in the Med. Biome. Bacchus, mythological Roman god of wine, would definitely be impressed.

And on the subject of Bacchanalian excess, could anyone have been more guilty of living rock’s hedonistic dream than Shaun Ryder and Bez of the Happy Mondays, seen here with the short-lived Black Grape? Perhaps best not to follow their example, but have a great weekend anyway!
