Our popular Ice Rink is open once again. Book your skating session early to avoid disappointment! The Rink will be at Eden until Sunday 27 February 2011, so you’ve got plenty of time to slide down and have some icy fun.

For full details of opening times and prices, see the Eden Project Ice Rink page. We’re also offering two-for-one sessions, discounted season tickets, skating lessons, ice-play sessions for under 5s and Chilly Penguins fun skating sessions for children aged 6 to 12.

This year the Ice Rink is decorated with a Cornish Alps theme to celebrate the industrial heritage of the area where Eden was built. The china clay mining industry that once thrived in the area has now almost entirely ground to a halt, leaving a striking landscape of white peaks and turquoise pools, known as the Cornish Alps. The Eden Project was built in one of the disused clay pits, so when you’re on the Ice Rink you’ll be skating directly above where one of the turquoise pools once was.

The Ice Rink is part of our A Time of Gifts festival, which has just kicked off. Come to Eden to add some sparkle to your winter and celebrate the festive season. Locals get in for a fiver from 1 November to 17 December and from 3 January to 18 February. During the festival you can enjoy Eden in its full winter glory with Cornish choirs, lantern processions and festive food and drink.
