For a bit of fun on Fridays Chris Bisson, the guy who maintains all the recorded information on Eden’s plant collection as our Plant Records Manager, recommends his favourite “plant records” – that is, songs that are in some way linked to a plant.
This week’s tune: ‘Mystery Plane’, by the Cramps
Having just had their winter pruning, the horizontal pleach of our plane trees looks impressively gnarled and knuckled, with the remaining pendulous fruit still hanging down.
An American punk rock band, formed in 1976 and active until 2009, the Cramps’ line-up rotated much over their existence, with the husband and wife duo Lux Interior and lead guitarist Poison Ivy being the only permanent members.
