For a bit of fun for the weekend Chris Bisson, the guy who maintains all the recorded information on Eden’s plant collection as our Plant Records Manager, recommends his favourite “plant records” – that is, songs that are in some way linked to a plant.

You can’t help but love our woody friends. Trees give us food, shelter, fuel as well as looking brilliant. Soon we’ll be seeing a new load of fresh green leaves so get out there and enjoy the arboreal architecture against the grey February skylines before spring arrives!

Rush, formed in 1968, are renowned for slightly ‘out there’ lyrics, but are said to have influenced the likes of Metallica and the Smashing Pumpkins with their heavy riffs.
