Today on World Book Day a brand new edition of Tim Smit’s ‘Eden’, officially the bestselling environmental book of the decade, hits the shelves to celebrate our 10th anniversary year.

The book tells the story of how co-founder Tim Smit, along with a dedicated team, delivered the impossible and turned a disused china clay pit into a living theatre of plants and people and their interdependence.

As Tim writes, ‘with passion and commitment thousands of “small” people built Eden as a symbol of hope in action… We say, “Demand the impossible.”‘

This new edition has been updated to tell the full story of Eden’s transformation over the last decade, into a organisation with projects and partnerships all over the world, and includes stunning new photographs.

Tim, who recently received a knighthood for his services to public engagement with science, will be in conversation with The Times garden writer Stephen Anderton, where there will be questions from the audience and a book signing. The event will be held on Tuesday, March 15, at 7.00pm-8.30pm at Institute of Education, Logan Hall, 20 Bedford Way, London WC1H 0AL.
