Calling singers for Eden’s Unplugged music event

March 24, 2011
Author: Hannah

We’re looking for singers to take part in what will be the largest musical work ever to be staged at Eden, a magical acoustic performance amplified by Eden’s natural ‘amphiteatre’ alone.

Written and directed by acclaimed composer Tim Sutton, Unplugged draws on Cornwall’s folk traditions and the history of the region’s mining industry. Lit by the sun and powered only by breath, the zero-carbon event will see singers, brass and percussion performing across the whole width of the Eden crater. It is supported by Tipping Point, PRS for Music Foundation and Arts Council England.

Peformances will take place on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 June 2011 as part of a programme of cultural events developed by Cape Farewell and the Eden Project. Preparatory workshops start on Sunday 3 April 2011.

Contact Amie Rey to take part: arey@edenproject.com; 01726 818584.
