Eden proud venue for delicious Taste of the West Awards event
Congratulations to all the West Country producers who won awards at last night’s ceremony hosted in the new eating area in our Mediterranean Biome!
What a treat for our chefs to be able to cook up a special three-course meal for the 180 guests using winning ingredients from the region.
On the menu were tasty creations like Roast Sirloin of Beef Joint, featuring the awards’ overall winner, Dartmoor Farmers’ beef joint, and an Autumn Vegetable Carpaccio that included a dressing made of Simply Oil’s Cornish Cold Pressed Rape Seed Oil, grown and produced just down the road in Newquay.
Guests were treated to a dessert that showed off Mendip Moments’ vanilla bean ice cream, from Somerset.
Hospitality Manager Nick Darnbrough says: ‘It was a pleasure to be able to showcase Eden’s talents using the finest produce from the West Country’.
