At Eden we’re passionate about food, where it comes from, how it’s made and, of course, what it tastes like…which is why choosing our top 10 favourite food gifts for Christmas has been a real treat.

So, tuck in and ‘enjoy’ our lovely selection of foodie presents. Some taste fantastic, others will be a dream come true for those who take delight in knowing their food’s provenance, and a few are just extremely helpful in the kitchen department.

We hope you like them!

1. Hazel tree with truffles, £22

A hazel tree that comes with native truffle fungi inoculated  in the roots. What does this mean? Well, you plant the tree and sit back and wait for your truffle crop after several years. The hazel tree is a UK-grown native tree and has been developed in association with the Great British and Irish Truffle Association (GBITA).

2. Fresh Cornish chocolates, £11.50

Fresh chocolates made by hand from Venezuelan single-origin chocolate and organic Cornish cream. These delicious little numbers include an award- winning raspberry truffle, praline log and double-gold-winning Cornish seasalt caramel.

3. Beehive kit with bees, £137.50

Our beehive kit includes a lovely wooden lodge and your own bumblebee colony, which is sent to you when the bee season starts in spring.  The hive provides a long-lasting, safe and secure home for bumblebees, ensuring they’ll be hard at work in the summer.

4. Foodie festive wreath, £46

Created lovingly from fresh bay, sage, rosemary and chillies, our Christmas wreath looks stunning hung on the front door or mantlepiece. Even better, this Christmas gift can be used after the festive season has long gone.

5. Tea plant gift set, £16.50

A gift set that celebrates tea. What more could a connoisseur of tea wish for? It includes a beautiful bone china mug designed by Ley Roberts, a tin of Cornish Afternoon tea and, the real show-stopper, a Cornish-grown Camellia sinensis tea plant so the lucky recipient can grow their own tea.

6. Shiitake mushroom log, £32.50

Foodies will love the idea of growing their own Shiitake mushrooms and this clever Cornish log will let them do just that. The Shiitake mushroom log  is harvested from sustainable Cornish woodlands and is inoculated with spawn from the Shiitake mushroom (Lentinula edodes), which will be ready in just a few weeks.

7. Napkin ring and place-name set, £9.95

Culinary geeks love to create the perfect ambiance for every meal and these personalised napkin rings will do any occasion justice. Made from recycled coffee cups found in vending machines, these napkin rings can be personalised with chalk and would be great for Christmas Day.

8. Cork cutting board, from £9

Practical, lightweight, slip-resistant and naturally anti-microbial and anti-fungal, these high-quality chopping boards are this year’s kitchen must-have. Made of high-density cork, they’re also great for knives – keeping them sharp by cushioning the blades.

9. Chilli lover’s hamper, £29.50

Celebrating the chilli, this hamper is hot stuff! A wonderful wicker hamper of  chilli chocolate, chilli dipping sauce and  jelly. Plus a selection of chilli seeds so the lucky recipient can grow their own.

10. Wood-burning pizza oven, £675

Compact, efficient and looks great in the garden, our pizza oven adds a wonderful smokiness to everything it cooks. With its igloo-style shape, this is the ultimate gift for foodies. Favourites are slow-braised ribs, roasted belly pork and wood-fired fresh fish.
