If spring has put you in the mood to get gardening, why not try and grow your own vegetables this year?
This short video from the Eden Project gardening team should give you the inspiration and know-how to grow easy things in containers such as potatoes, carrots and sugar snap peas.
The good news is that they’ll be ready to eat in just a few months!

short, sweet and so practical. Even a complete veg novice like me could have a go !
I understand from the article in the Telegraph, that you are experiencing a plague of slugs.
In Tasmania, where I have a home and garden, I have been told to use Eucalyptus wood sawdust round my newly planted vegies, to deter these little menaces. I tried this out with newly planted runner bean plants and didn’t lose one ! The slugs seem to hate the texture and also the resin in the gum wood. I do hope that this may be of help….and its nearly free. I know of a source here in the UK if you need it.
Thankyou for the tips Beryl!
