Guide Books
Pre-order guide books and purchase them on arrival at the reduced rate of £4.00 (R.R.P £6.00). This will help your group make the most of their day and is also a great souvenir for your visitors.
Guided Tours
If you would like your group to get even more from their visit we can request a tour with members of our Guide Team. The tour lasts one hour, covers one Biome and we ask for a minimum of one month's notice to check availability.
Additional Cost:
£50 for up to 25 in a group
£100 for up to 55 in a group.
Seasonal Tours - New for 2011!
Spring - Tour of the Flowering Med:
A one hour tour of the Mediterranean Biome focusing on plants in flower that day. Hear about their local and worldwide uses and products, along with stories of how these plants connect to our heart and soul.
When: March, April, May. (Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri or Saturday).
Summer - Outdoor Biome Tour
This general one hour tour starts at the beginning of your Eden visit and will journey round the Biome that has the sky for a roof. Explore Cornish landscapes, plants for a warmer climate, and our Global Garden allotments. Discover tea, lavender and plants for fibres, including flax and hemp, all growing under the warm Cornish sun. (On rainy days this can be changed to a Rainforest Tour).
When: June, July, Aug (Tues, Wed, Fri or Sat)
Autumn - Foody Harvest Tour:
This one hour tour celebrates all things edible in the Rainforest during the harvest months. You will hear about both wild and cultivated harvests and see plants that produce familiar and unusual foods!
When: Sept, Oct, Nov (Tues, Wed, Fri or Sat)
Winter - Tour of the Trees:
This one hour tour takes you on a journey through the Rainforest Biome to explore the connection between people and trees. Delve into mankind’s relationship with our forests, that goes beyond the products they produce.
When: All Year (Tues, Wed, Fri or Saturday exc. Feb).
Horticultural Tour:
Perhaps you would like to get a more in depth Horticultural led walk in any of our areas. History, provenance or practical, just ask!
When: All Year, every day apart from Saturdays and Mondays.
General Tours:
A one hour stroll around either the Rainforest, Mediterranean or Outside Biome. The tour will include an overview of our history and can include Eden’s projects, architecture or art, just let us know!

The Outdoor Biome
Covering 13 hectares, 10 years ago this was a barren landscape 15m below the water table with no level ground, no soil and no plants. Today you can discover crops that provide foods, fuels, medicines and materials in the Biome that has the sky for a roof.
The Mediterranean Biome
Explore the sights, scents and stories of the Mediterranean, South Africa and California through plants such as citrus, olives, herbs and vines, South African proteas and aloes and Californian annuals, poppies and lupins.
The Rainforest Biome
Experience the tallest rainforest in captivity as you stroll through the steamy jungle of Malaysia, West Africa and South America. Plants and crops in the Rainforest Biome include bananas, coffee, bromeliads (orchids), balsa and mahogany.
