Food and arts holidays in Cornwall
Cornwall has so much to offer foodies, and to devotees of arts and culture.

For foodies there's everything from the humble Cornish pasty, recently awarded protected status by the European Commission, to fine dining offered by Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant in Padstow and Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Restaurant in Watergate Bay. With the county’s long fishing heritage, you can find some of the finest seafood restaurants in the country in Cornwall. You’ll also find other local delicacies like cream teas, cider and beer, and Cornish Yarg and Cornish Blue cheese.
Culture vultures will also find plenty of places and events of interest in Cornwall. The fishing communities of St Ives and Newlyn have a long history of attracting artists and are now home to internationally renowned art galleries including Tate St Ives, the Barbara Hepworth Museum and the Leach Pottery. Other cultural highlights include the Daphne Du Maurier Literary Festival in the picturesque port of Fowey, the Port Eliot Festival of arts and culture (curated by Martin Scorsese in 2011!) and the stunning open-air Minack Theatre cut into the cliffs at the tip of Cornwall.
