Eden Project Fun Run
Competition: Design Eden Project Fun Run logo
Children from around Cornwall are invited to take part in a competition to design a logo for the Eden Project fun run, which takes place on October 9.
The fun run takes place on the day before the Eden marathon and its one-mile route goes “around the world”, taking in Eden’s famous Rainforest and Mediterranean Biomes.
The winning design will be used on all merchandise associated with the event including a special t-shirt that will be given to everyone who finishes the race. The winner will also receive a family ticket to Eden valid for a year, an Eden goodie bag and a free place in the fun run.
Tracey Smith said: “a fabulous fun event made even more special by the fact that the logo has been designed locally. last years entries showed great imagination and flair and were wonderful to judge”
Last year’s fun run logo was designed by Jowan Sleep of Tywardreath School.

The competition runs from 1 June - 1 August 2010. Winners will be notified by 8 September 2010.
Entrants must be 12 years or under.
All entrants require signed permission from a parent/guardian or teacher and must give consent for the logo design to be used in all marketing and promotion of the event.
The judges decision is final.

Applications are also open for the second annual Eden marathon and half-marathon, taking place on October 10. The courses for the races will follow a similar route to last year, both starting at Eden before touring the landscape of the clay country and returning to finish in front of the iconic Biomes.
Both full and half marathon courses are very challenging and are designed to give runners a taste of the evolving landscape. Plus, in true Cornish style, runners can enjoy a pint of Sharp’s ale and a pasty when they cross the finish line.
