Plants of the month

With three climatic zones and over a million plants, Eden never fails to provide anything less than a jaw-dropping horticultural extravaganza.

Our February highlights

Rainforest Biome

Surinam Cherry, Eugenia uniflora

Such dainty flowers and with a sweet, heady scent to boot. The mass of stamens make this flower look like a teeny, exploding firework!

Jaboticaba, Myrciaria cauliflora

This pretty little tree is from the Atlantic forests of Brazil. The delicious fruits are sold in local markets and can be used to make jellies, jam and wine. Hundreds of fruits will be growing straight from the trunk and branches.

Outdoor Biome

Witch Hazel, Hamamelis x intermedia 'Jelena'

An elegant shrub with magical, coppery, spider-like flowers in mid winter. You must go out of your way to smell these flowers!
