Events for Teachers

Teachers' Evening
Thursday 8th May 2008, 4.30-6pm
Following our successful event in November we are again inviting teachers to meet the education team, check out our facilities and ask us lots of questions. This free event is ideal whether you're considering a school visit here, or if you already have one planned.
Why Learn Outdoors? Taking the primary classroom outside
Thursday 19th June 2008, 9.30am - 4pm
Led by Eden's education team, this hands-on course will explore how and why the outdoor classroom can be used to deliver and enhance learning for primary pupils.
Who’s it for? Primary teachers and school leaders with an interest in outdoor learning.
The day will include an overview of the national context for Learning Outside the Classroom, an exploration of the social, emotional and cognitive benefits of learning outside and a look at the organisations and resources available to support you. You will gather ideas for planning and delivering outdoor learning activities linked to the curriculum, in school grounds and local outdoor spaces - including practicalities and risk awareness.
Price: £110
