What we do

What we do
Gardens for Life is a living network of schools that explores the world through gardening and growing food. We aim to help schools create gardens that allow them to explore the issues of food security, sustainable development and global citizenship. We help children share their knowledge and experience of growing with their counterparts from around the world. Its currency is stories and ideas
Connecting schools
Gardens for Life will try to find you a suitable partner school to share your experiences with and activities to help structure your relationship. We also try to help schools to pool their knowledge of what works and what doesn't.
Resources
Gardens for Life provides support materials for schools who have either an established school garden or would like to start one. The materials include introductions to school gardening and international linking, case studies and lesson plans. This website will also carry new material as it is developed. We also offer Continuing Professional Development courses for teachers. In certain countries we do provide outreach via our partners.
And what we don't...
We don't offer funds or equipment for schools as our main funding has ceased. If you are a funder, business or are just boundlessly wealthy and would like to help provide some of these things then please let us know.
