About Gardens for Life

Gardens for Life is run by the Eden Project in Cornwall with the help of its partners around the world.

The Gardens for Life pilot project was originated, developed and managed by these core partners – The Eden Project; Royal Botanic Gardens Kew; Royal Horticultural Society; Science Across the World – Association for Science Education; and The Department for International Development – Central Research Department. It is now under the direction of the Eden Project and its in-country partners.

The pilot project was evaluated by the University of Exeter. It was funded and supported by the UK Department for International Development – Development Awareness Fund and Central Research Department; Syngenta Foundation; Creative Partnerships Cornwall; Department for Education and Skills – Growing Schools Initiative; The Ernest Cook Trust, Barclays and The Cisco Foundation.

About the Eden Project

The Eden Project is wholly owned by the Eden Trust, an educational charity (charity number 1093070). We use exhibits, events, workshops and educational programmes to remind people what nature gives to us and to help people to learn how to look after it in return. All money raised goes to further the aims of the Trust.

We welcome over a million people every year to join in our events and learn from our exhibits. Our work includes programmes and projects with schools, colleges and universities, but we also try to ensure everyone who comes to our site leaves knowing something more about their connections to the world.
