Gardens for Life: Growing around the globe

happy gardener

Crossing communities, cultures and countries Gardens for Life is a living network of schools that explores the world through gardening and growing food.

The programme offers children everywhere the opportunity to share their knowledge and experience of growing with their counterparts from around the world. Thousands of children across four continents are taking part, creating school gardens that help them to explore the issues of food security, sustainable development and global citizenship. As the programme continues to grow so will they.

Gardens for Life is free to join wherever you are in the world. We have partner schools in Kenya, India, the Gambia, Singapore and the USA and new schools join every week. To take part you must be a teacher at a recognized school and have access to an email account.

To find out more about Gardens for Life explore the site and take a look at some of our sample materials. If you'd like to join please sign up and we'll give you access to the rest of our resources. All we ask in return is that you keep in touch and let us know how things are going so we can keep everyone in the Gardens for Life network informed.
