Eden Project Members and their guests are invited to attend a talk and demonstration by James Clark, Specialist Horticulturist in Eden's Outdoor Gardens.
James will, through an interactive demonstration, show the different techniques for sowing food crops in Eden's Global Gardens allotment.
Eden's Global Gardens allotment features all sorts of vegetables, from the likes of trusty potatoes and cabbages to more unusual crops from around the world, such as Mountain Spinach, Chop Suey Greens, sweet potato, chillies and lemongrass.
James Clark is one of Eden's experts in this area, and through his interactive talk will demonstrate how to sow carrots, beetroot, radish and coriander, along with the more unusual Andean tuber crops, oca, mashua, Ulluco and Chinese artichokes. James will also provide advice on the best soil types, drainage and feeding of these crops throughout the growing cycle and how to produce some wonderful fruit and vegetables ready for harvest.
On 19 September 2018, James will be following up this demonstration with his Harvesting the niche, novel & normal talk.
