Circus performer on a Chinese poleFoucauld Falguerolles

Foucauld, who was born in Châlons en Champagne, France, taught himself a variety of circus skills as a child. He has become a specialist on the Chinese pole.

He moved to Brussels in 2002 and joined the circus school, Espace Catastrophe. He started working in street festivals with the Dujoli Cirkus and then toured for four years around Europe in the show ‘Fin de siesta’, directed by Louis Spagna.

Circus performer on a Chinese poleHe has worked with Dragone and as a Chinese pole coach at the Rotterdam Circus School, Cie feria musica (infundibulum). He has performed his Chinese pole act in many cabarets and festivals around Europe. He joined NoFit State Circus in the show ‘Tabù’ in 2010.

He won a prize at the Sol y Circo festival, which led to the opportunity to perform at the Helsinki Winter Circus in Hurjaruuth in 2010.

What do you enjoy most about performing?
Circus performer on a Chinese poleThe ability to learn continuously, to put in question everything or say ‘Hey! It was a very good one!’ I try to overcome and surprise myself at every show.

Performing is the excitement of going up; it's love and hate confronted – that's my drug.

What is your greatest fear?
To stop dreaming.
