The show

Prepare to step into the Labyrinth – a beautifully surreal place where performers move among you, and daring displays take place above you. This exhilarating new show by the award-winning NoFit State Circus will be performed exclusively at Eden over the summer holidays (29 Jul – 29 Aug).

  • Labyrinth will feature aerial acrobatics, traditional circus skills, live music and dance.
  • It will take place right across the Eden site and culminate in an incredible finale inside our very own 'big top'.
  • Labyrinth has been created to celebrate Eden's 10th birthday, and complement Eden’s unique setting.
  • There are no 'best seats'; the show is promenade style, so the view will be terrific everywhere.
  • The world-class performers are highly skilled on equipment such as the swinging trapeze, flying trapeze, cradle, strops, hula hoops, tightwire, Chinese pole and German wheel, to name but a few!

As the show unfolds you will choose your own path:

  • When you arrive at Eden you will be given a coloured wristband and a
map, and be told where the show will begin.
  • The audience will gather in three separate locations across Eden, according to the colour of their wristbands.
  • After watching an initial display you will choose your route to watch
    other wonderful performances.
  • Losing yourself is the key to the game

The show will culminate with the whole audience coming together to watch
a stunning hour-long grand finale inside Eden’s 'big top'.

The concept of Labyrinth

The concept of the show is inspired by the ancient idea of the labyrinth: a structure with a path to its centre. Stepping into the labyrinth is a strange
Willow Dream Chamber with Labyrinth on floor at Eden Project, Cornwalland mysterious experience – you might lose your bearings and you never
know what you’ll find round the next corner…

In the Labyrinth show, you’ll become immersed in this world of illusion and wonder. You will make your own choices, and follow your curiosity, as the performance compels you to follow different paths in Eden’s magical setting.

You can find a classical seven-ring labyrinth pattern by artists Kate Munro and Pete Hill as part of the permanent Myth and Folklore exhibit at the Eden Project – it forms the floor of the Willow Dream Chamber.
