HotHouse delegate information
During the four days you’ll be based at the inspirational Eden Project, in Cornwall, and we can guarantee that you’ll not be stuck in a boardroom! We’ll be making full use of the site, including the Biomes – to which you’ll have exclusive out-of-hours access – the gardens and the wild outer estate. For some sessions, we may also venture into the surrounding Cornish countryside.
'You felt like you had an exclusive view of Eden… accessing the rainforest when normally people don’t do that.'
Deborah Ball, Fundraising Manager, Forum for the Future
Programme and activities
HotHouse is different from your average business course. We help you learn by doing, immersing you in a world of creativity and imagination. That’s why we steer clear of prescriptive modules, but instead host a series of sessions that help you understand your business’s place in nature, take inspiration from the natural world, and give you the tools to activate this in the workplace. Elements that we focus on include: influencing, innovating, unleashing creativity, decision-making, perspective-shifting, and stories of leadership.
We don’t want to spoil the surprise, but the four days include a selection of the following activities: guided journeys through the Eden site, time with inspirational speakers, shared meals and practical group exercises out of doors.
'Unbelievable… the setting and the pace were perfect. The experience has… clearly made me a better leader.'
Jessica Pitt, Senior Associate, Foot Anstey
Accommodation and food
You’ll certainly not be staying in a stuffy hotel room during HotHouse. We arrange unique onsite accommodation for delegates, as we believe that it’s as important a part of the journey as the 'main event'. We provide delicious, locally sourced food throughout your stay, and can cater for all sorts of dietary needs.
Throughout the four days you’ll be part of a small group of up to 16 individuals, drawn from a variety of sectors and roles. We want you to meet unexpected people, hear fantastical stories, and share experiences and ideas together.
'From the moment you arrive you feel very looked after, very nurtured.'
Annette Khepri , owner, The Quantum Dojo
