Changing the State of Play
Funded by the Big Lottery Fund, the Eden Project was given the chance to work with communities across Cornwall to delve into the issues and inspire new ideas for nature-based and free play. The physical results can be seen at Eden Project, in communities and in the lives of countless children and adults across Cornwall.
Create nature art, make a den, play hide and seek... Wild play doesn't have to happen in the woods - how about in the garden or under the stairs?
Take one blanket, a piece of rope, a few bits of wood – and hey presto you have a brilliant hideaway. Just add imagination.
'Mud between your Toes' aims to connect children and young people to the world they live in - to experience, understand and celebrate their sense of place and purpose in the natural world and in their communities.
