Paloma Faith has been confirmed as the headliner for the sixth show of this summer’s Eden Sessions with ASUS Transformer Book Chi.

Paloma will headline on June 24, joining Paolo Nutini (June 12 – sold out), Motörhead and The Stranglers (June 27), Elton John (June 16 and 17 – sold out) and Ben Howard (July 17 – sold out) on the bill for the 2015 Eden Sessions.

The East London singer-songwriter was named Best Female Solo Artist at the BRIT Awards this year following the 2014 release of her third studio album, A Perfect Contradiction. That record reached number two in the UK charts and was certified double-platinum.

It complements her 2009 debut Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful and 2012 sophomore effort Fall to Grace, both of which made the UK top ten and went double-platinum.

A Perfect Contradiction also spawned Paloma’s most successful single to date, Only Love Can Hurt Like This which has had nearly 18 million views on YouTube and got to number six in the UK charts.

Paloma has one of the most distinctive voices in modern pop, taking influences from classic soul singers such as Etta James and Billie Holiday, as well as more contemporary artists like Adele and Amy Winehouse.

She is also an accomplished actor, having appeared in Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and the 2007 reboot of St. Trinian’s.

Rita Broe, Eden’s marketing director, said: “Paloma is an incredible live performer and one of the most vibrant and exciting British artists on the scene today. She’s had a fantastic year. We have been very keen to have her at Eden, not least because her philosophy is the same as ours – that together people can achieve anything.

“She adds to a classic Sessions line-up and certainly our most eclectic ever. Where else can you see Paolo Nutini, Motörhead, The Stranglers, Elton John, Ben Howard and Paloma Faith in one summer gig season?”

The Eden Sessions enter their fourteenth year in 2015 following headline shows last year by Dizzee Rascal, Skrillex, Ellie Goulding, Pixies and Elbow.

The Eden Sessions has its own free-to-view online TV channel (www.youtube.com/edensessionstv) featuring regularly-updated videos of some of the gigs’ finest shows.

Tickets for Paloma Faith at the Eden Sessions cost £40 plus £5 booking fee and are on sale to members of the Inside Track programme now (Tuesday April 14). They go on general sale at 4pm on Tuesday April 21 by visiting www.edensessions.com or calling the Eden box office on 01726 811972.
