School, college and university visits

Here at the Eden Project in Cornwall, education is central to our mission as a charity. We offer exciting learning opportunities for students of all ages at schools, colleges and universities.

  • With over 1 million plants, and iconic architecture and art, the Eden Project is the ideal destination for school trips as well as visits by college and university students.
  • Over 50,000 pupils and students of all ages visit our 'living classroom' every year from across the UK and Europe.
  • Our education officers bring their wealth of experience in schools and environmental centres to create memorable learning experiences.
  • Our fun and fascinating environmental education workshops are linked to the National Curriculum and cost from only £3.80 per pupil.
  • We inspire learning across a range of subjects, from geography, art and science (biodiversity, biology, botany, conservation, ecology, and horticulture) to architecture and sustainability.
  • Many schools bring their pupils to tour Eden on teacher-led field trips, and combine them with our seasonal events, such as ice skating and den building.
  • For teachers we offer In-Service Training (INSET) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses in environmental education.
  • We have received the Growing Schools Garden Award, an award for gardens that provide advice and training for schools.
