UK dance and hip-hop supremo Example will bring his chart-topping anthems to Eden this summer.
Best known for his number one singles Changed the Way You Kiss Me and Stay Awake, Example is a skilled rapper and singer. His number one tunes are drawn from his third album, Playing in the Shadows, which topped the UK album charts and includes production by industry giants Chase and Status, Faithless and Nero.
Back in 2010, Example hit the top ten with the title track from his album Won’t Go Quietly and the single Kickstarts from the same record. The following year he scored a number two hit alongside London MC Wretch 32 with the Stone Roses-sampling single, Unorthodox.
Example is currently working on an as yet untitled fourth studio album.
Imagine this massive chart-topping anthem lifting the crowd in front of Eden’s Biomes!
Alice in Wonderland, the London Gherkin, BMXs and even a combine harvester – they're all in this video for Example’s number one!
Example provides the chorus while Wretch 32 tears up the mic over the ridiculously catchy break from The Stone Roses’ Fool’s Gold.
DevlinOne of the hottest hip-hop/grime artists out there, Devlin, will be Example’s special guest at the Eden Sessions
His debut album, Bud, Sweat and Beers hit number 21 in the UK album chart and spawned Runaway, his most successful single so far. The song chronicles its protagonists’ escape from urban decay and their search ‘for the fruits from the lost garden of Eden’.
In 2010, Devlin was nominated in the Breakthrough Artist category of the Virgin Music Awards. He has revealed that he plans to release his second album this year.
Shot partly in his native manor of Dagenham, this video is a great depiction of Devlin's deep lyrics.
