Superstar singer-songwriter Jessie J is one of the hottest pop stars on the planet right now! As well as reaching number one in the UK with the massive tunes Price Tag and Domino, she's hit the top spot in the charts of 18 other countries around the world.
Jessie's been busy over the past year, appearing as a coach on the BBC primetime Saturday night talent show The Voice, performing at Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert, and taking centre stage at the Olympic closing ceremony for the biggest televised performance of her life.
She's also had a UK bestseller with her autobiography Nice to Meet You, and established herself as a fashion icon. Jessie has picked up awards from Glamour
magazine and Harpers Bazaar, become the most talked-about star on the red carpet
at this year’s GQ Awards, was dressed by Vivienne Westwood for her Olympic closing
ceremony performance and graced the covers of, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Grazia
and most recently Elle magazine where she unveiled, 'Jessie the fashion reinvention'
to the world.
The south London’s singer-songwriter (otherwise known as Aminata Kabba) hit number one in the UK singles chart earlier this year with the infectious Need U (100%), a collaboration with Duke Dumont and MNEK.
The 18-year-old was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, but moved to Catford when she was eight. A*M*E burst onto the UK music scene last year with tracks such as City Lights, Find A Boy and Play The Game Boy demonstrating her lively, dancehall- and electropop-inflected sound.
She has toured with Jessie J, JLS, Rizzle Kicks and Olly Murs and in December last year was nominated for the BBC’s Sound of 2013 poll. A*M*E has also had a number one in Korea with a track she wrote for all-girl K-Pop band FX. Her next single, entitled Heartless, is due to be released on 23 June 2013.
A*M*E said: 'I've got a whole new stage show that I’ve been rehearsing so I’m really excited to have the chance to show it to people and to be supporting Jessie J. Can't wait!'
Hot D'Jour have been chosen by Jessie J as winners of the competition to perform on the Main Stage at both her Sessions this year! The band, who mix their up-tempo soul with a touch of hip-hop, are singer-songwriter Hollie G and producer-drummer Denzil Lowndes. Based in Cornwall and Bristol, the pair have been working together for five years.
Denzil started off as a bassist and then drummer for bands in Penzance and Falmouth. He met Hollie in Bristol where she was working with Roni Size and Massive Attack among others.
They have previously played at Glastonbury and London’s Jazz Café as well as supporting Swedish electro outfit Little Dragon.
