Chunky Tagua Bracelet

Our chunky Tagua bracelet, made from Tagua nuts, would make the perfect gift for those who like something a bit different! With its bright colours and elasticated strap, it will fit any size wrist. Please note though that due to the nature of this product colours and sizes may vary.

The Tagua nut, also known as vegetable ivory, comes from the Tagua tree, which grows in the heart of the Amazon. For centuries, the Tagua nut has been used for buttons, jewellery and carved objects.

The purchase of the nut supports the employment of nearly 35,000 indigenous people. The income received from Tagua crops is a strong incentive to maintain the trees. The nut is harvested and left to dry for 3 years. Once cut into manageable pieces it’s shaped, polished and coloured with natural dyes.
