Flame Tree (Delonix Regia)

This elegant, vibrant red flowering Flame Tree goes by many names. In the UK it is called Royal Poinciana or Flamboyant, in Vietnam it is the Phoenix's Tail, and in India it is known as Peacock.

This is a half hardy tree so will need to be brought inside or covered with fleece during the colder months. The foliage is lovely and fern like, and teamed with the bright red striped blooms makes a great plant for indoors.

The flame tree currently has a conservation status as 'vulnerable', so by growing this tree you will be helping to increase the population worldwide.
