Once the plants have become established they will produce fruit. The Olive tree itself is evergreen so will provide colour for your garden all year round. It is a very drought and fire resistant tree, and once established enough, will also be hardy. Even if the entire tree above ground is destroyed, the robust root system is capable of completely regenerating the tree.
A very historic tree, there are records of the olive going back to Greek mythology. As well as being symbolic trees in religion and culture, the olive tree provides olive oil which is a very important comodity to many countries.
Properties
There are 25 seeds per packet.
The tree will need bringing in during winter periods, but once established it can withstand temperatures around 0'c, but will require fleecing or protection for periods colder than this. The optimum growing temperature is between 5 and 25'c.
