The tradition of Wassailing dates as far back as Anglo-Saxon times, when it was believed to be part of pagan rituals. In more recent times, Wassail has come to be associated with Christmas. The word Wassail is old English and possibly predates the Norman conquest of 1066.
INGREDIENTS:
Wassail – Cornish cider 65%, apple juice 25% (vitamin C), sugar, spice and citrus infusion 10% (orange zest, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, all spice and star anise)
Harvest Chutney – Apples 20%, cider vinegar, light brown sugar 20%, tomatoes (tomatoes, tomato juice (16%)), onions, celery, sultanas, raisins, orange juice, spices.
