Tassel cord-rush

Baloskion tetraphyllum

Baloskion is probably the biggest and most conspicuous of the Tasmanian restionacaea. This beautiful restio forms a dense clump of smooth, evergreen, slender erect stems about 1m high. Each node has a tightly wrapped light brown sheath and thin thread like bright green tussocks emerge from the stems. A stunning specimen beside water.
