Eden Project Summer Raffle 2010

1. Participation in this raffle costs £1 per raffle ticket.

2. This raffle is open to residents of mainland Great Britain (this excludes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands).

3. No tickets can be sold to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 16 years.

4. If a ticket is sold unknowingly to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 16 they will be exempt from the raffle and will forfeit their prize.

5. Trustees and employees of Eden project, and members of their households, are ineligible to enter this raffle. Any tickets bought in the name of Eden Project trustees, employees or members of their households will be rejected from the draw and considered as donations to Eden Project.

6. Monies raised by this raffle will support the general work of Eden Project, Registered Charity No 1093070.

7. Payment for participation in the raffle can be made by cheque payable to Eden Project, credit/debit card or cash.

8. Raffle tickets will be entered into the draw when the whole payment is received.

9. Eden accepts no responsibility for raffle tickets which are lost, damaged, illegible or from which the prize-winner cannot be identified, or for any technical failure or event which may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted.

10. All tickets for the draw must be received no later than Thursday 30th September 2010.

11. Any ticket entries received after Thursday 30th September 2010 will be considered as donations to Eden.

12. The Draw will take place on Friday 1st October 2010.

13. Three raffle tickets will be drawn randomly.

14. The first ticket number drawn will receive a cash prize of £1000

15. The second ticket number drawn will receive a cash prize of £250.

16. The third ticket number drawn will receive a cash prize of £100.

17. The result of the raffle draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

18. Winners will be notified by post, email or telephone no later than two weeks after the draw date. A list of winners will also be published at www.edenproject.com two weeks after the draw date. Please keep the ticket number as proof of purchase.

19. Where Eden is unable to contact a prize-winner so that a prize remains unclaimed for six months following Eden’s first attempt to notify the prize-winner, Eden may apply the prize as it sees fit, including by re-offering the prize in future raffles.

20. All winners are required to co-operate with Eden’s right to publish their win as and where deemed appropriate.

21. Eden is registered with Cornwall Council’s Licensing Office to operate this raffle, licence number SL41074. This licence is issued under the Gambling Act 2005, and is valid from 9 June 2010.

25. Requests for additional raffle tickets or requests to be removed from future raffle mailings should be addressed to Nicola Hawkins, Fundraising Officer, Eden Project, Bodelva, Cornwall, PL24 2SG.

26. In the event of an error, howsoever caused, whether a printing error or otherwise and whether obvious or otherwise, which affects the competition in any way, Eden reserves the right to administer the game as though the error had not occurred. Where Eden deems it appropriate and/or feasible Eden will notify entrants of the error.

27. Names of winners and results of the raffle will be available on receipt of a request to nhawkins@edenproject.com

28. Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in the disqualification of the entry. Organisers reserve the right to disqualify any entry at their absolute discretion.
