Volunteer at the Eden Project
Eden offers a wide range of volunteering opportunities. It's a great way to become involved in the work of Eden and get involved in our community, education and sustainability projects.
We're currently not accepting volunteer applications. We will review this in September 2012 so please revisit this page nearer this time.
Reasons to volunteer
Feel good, learn things, meet people – what’s not to love? Volunteering is an ideal way to become involved in the day-to-day work of the Eden Project.
As a volunteer for Eden you can help us to achieve our mission by becoming a link between the visiting public and the Project and highlighting our work in conservation, education and sustainability.
Volunteering is the perfect way to become involved and enjoy the company of people with similar interests. You’ll be part of a team and help to make Eden an even friendlier and more interesting place for our visitors.
In return you will take part in work that is varied, educational and interesting as well as enormously satisfying. Below are some of the teams you could find yourself helping:
Access team
Helping visitors with different abilities get around the site, by pushing wheelchairs, reading signs or being an arm to help steady someone. This is a very rewarding position as your help really makes a difference to the quality of a visitors day.
Workshop team
Helping our workshop team run educational workshops to promote Eden’s message through art and craft activities for the whole family. This team only requires volunteers during school holidays.
Friends team
Helping assist the Friends Desk, recruit new Eden Friends and contribute to the organisation of Friends events.
Green team
Providing support to our gardeners (or Green Team as we like to call them) with potting, planting, ground clearing and more.
Administration team
Providing administrative help in various departments across the Eden Project.
Work experience
We also offer work experience for year 10 school students (full for 2012). Unfortunately we are not currently accepting any new academic placements for university students.

Taste of Eden
The project gave unemployed people in Cornwall the skills and confidence to get back into paid work.
