Why get a Locals' Pass?

As one of the the biggest visitor attractions in the South West, Eden has loads to offer. As well as our world-famous indoor Biomes – the steamy Rainforest and the relaxing Mediterranean – we've got our beautiful Outdoor Gardens where horticulture enthusiasts love seeing the dramatic changes throughout the year.

You can also take advantage of the delicious, locally sourced food and drink on offer in our cafes. You can watch tasty treats being prepared in front of you at our innovative Kitchen, or enjoy alfresco-style dining in the Mediterranean Biome, or sample seasonal dishes at our various other outlets.

Our packed calendar of kids' and family events during school holidays are free to Locals' Pass holders. (Please note that some activities at Eden require a separate ticket to be purchased, and are not covered by the Locals' Pass.)

Information for current pass holders

All 2014/2015 Locals' Passes expired at the end of 31 October 2015.

Direct Debit renewals

In autumn 2015 we sent a letter to all 2014/15 Locals' Pass holders who pay by Direct Debit, letting them know about the automatic renewal of their Pass.

Direct Debit pass holders who chose to continue with the Direct Debit (ie didn't cancel it or change the types of Pass required), can simply continue to use their existing (renewed) passes. Even if the Pass has an expiry date written on it, they should ignore this – as our system will recognise it as having been extended when the pass holder next visits.

Passes bought online are valid until 31 October 2016. 

On-site validation / proof of residency

Any Locals' Pass bought online should be validated at the Eden Project before you can use it. To do this you will need to come with the appropriate forms of identity, chosen from the list below:

Proof of residence with photo ID

Ideally, you should bring one piece of identity that shows residence in either Devon or Cornwall (i.e. postcodes starting with TR, PL, TQ or EX), and has your photo on, such as a driving license, passport showing your current address.

Or:

Non-photo proof of residence plus photo ID

If your photo ID does not show your Cornwall or Devon address (i.e. if this residence is not your primary address, or if it is a bus pass or work badge and does not show your address), please also bring in additional proof of your residence in Cornwall or Devon, such as a utility bill.

Or:

Three forms of proof of residence

If you have no photo ID at all, please bring three pieces of identity that show residence in either Devon or Cornwall (i.e. postcodes starting with TR, PL, TQ or EX), such as utility bills.

Proof of residency for children

Buying a Locals' Pass for your child as well? Simply bring them along with you, and we'll use your own proof of residence. If you're sending them along with an adult who doesn't live at your house, please get them to bring in your own proof of residence.  

Photographs

Adult Locals’ Pass holders (over 16s) will be photographed upon activation of the Pass, and the image will be securely stored. These images will only be used for identification purposes when arriving on site, and to prevent misuse of the Locals’ Pass.

General use

Your Locals' Pass cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and remains the property of Eden Project Limited.

Locals’ Passes are not valid in conjunction with School visits. Locals' Passes are non-transferable, once registered.

Pass holders may also be asked to confirm proof of identity when re-visiting using their Locals' Pass.

Passes may be cancelled and the holder refused entry if the holder is unable to confirm proof of identity to match their pass on subsequent visits.

Passes may not be re-sold.

What to do if you've lost your Pass

If you've lost your Pass but it is still valid and you would like to visit us, we will be able to help you at the Visitor Centre admissions desk. Please bring along a form of identity (a photo-card driving license is best). Please arrive a few minutes early when you visit so that we can look you up on our system.
