2018 activities

Here's what was on offer at during the Easter holidays of 2018.

Giant Obstacle Course

  • Venue: indoors in the Stage

Will you take on the challenge of our huge 'How Does Your Garden Grow?' plant-themed obstacle course? In your team, you'll bounce your way down giant inflatable slides, rummage through a ball pool 'pond' among oversized flowers and grass, and ransack an enormous greenhouse. In an adrenaline-fuelled race against clock, you'll be hunting high and low for all the vital ingredients – soil, seed, rain and sunshine.

Golden Egg Hunt

  • Venue: indoors and outdoors across the Eden site

We'll be hiding a number of shiny golden eggs in different places inside and outside our Biomes every day. Keep your eyes peeled as you make your way around Eden and you might spot all of the elusive eggs – the best egg-hunters will be rewarded with delicious chocolate prizes!

My kids loved the Easter activities and ended up going two days in a row!

This fun family show explores Earth’s amazing science and stories in partnership with the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). During the interactive performance the audience will be invited to become trainee environmental scientists when ‘Earthy’ – a mini version of the planet earth – takes a trip to the doctors.

For all ages, the Operation Earth show is fascinating, entertaining and thought provoking.

We brought our son who has autism to the relaxed session and he had a brilliant time. The staff were excellent and the activities were lots of fun. He was so excited to find a golden egg too!
