Climate Revolution
What’s it all about?
We are already facing times of unprecedented change. We're seeing revolutions in science and in the economic and political maps of the world alongside threats such as pandemics and the 'demographic timebomb'. On top of this comes the challenge of climate change, ranging from the need to address environmental refugees or find new energy technologies to the question of how to finance infrastructure changes for more unpredictable weather. The political and financial responses to these threats are appearing today, and are already beginning to change the world.
Together these forces are likely to lead to a level of social change equivalent to the industrial revolution – the Climate Revolution.
What we’re doing
Our programme of work ranges from educational projects with schools, the exploration of new technologies for a low carbon world, and public events such as the Sexy Green Car Show.
We've also recently launched Eden Clean Energy, a proposal for our own wind turbine.
What can you do to help?
The Eden Project is wholly owned by the Eden Trust, an educational charity (charity number 1093070). Our main source of income to date has been that raised from visitors to the Eden Project, but to move forward and expand our educational outreach programmes, including Climate Revolution, we need charitable funds. These funds will be used to develop and expand our Mud Between Your Toes, Climate Revolution and Gardens for Life programmes.
