Den building is great for encouraging children's imagination and development.

As part of our Mud Between Your Toes programme Eden runs an on site Den Building programme during the Summer holidays, where we provide everything you need to design and build your family fortress, and a gang of expert den builders to help.

But just because the summer hols are over doesn't mean the den building fun has to end!

On the pages below we've provided everything you need for hours of den building fun once you get back home. There's even a chance to win a fab prize and get a certificate and cool transfer tattoo if you enter our e-Den challenge competition below!

How to build a den

To become a den builder extraordinaire you've got to know your den stuff, but we've made it easy for you with insider info from our very own den building team - read our top tips and wow your friends.

Den laws

All adults must be sworn to secrecy on the location of your den, if not, they must give you more pocket money - this is the first of several important den laws you must enforce for full den enjoyment.

What to do in your den

So now you've built your den you can sit back and relax, but only for a minute! We've lots of activities and challenges you can carry out with your friends in your den.

e-Den Challenge Competition

Send in photos of the dens you've built at home and we'll send you a certificate and sticker in return. There's also a great prize for the best den. Plus see your photos in the e-Den photo gallery.
