Social inclusion

Our outreach projects are designed to offer memorable experiences and vital life skills to those who are socially excluded, including prisoners, the homeless, the disabled and the unemployed.

We offer activities such as football and gardening, work placements and visits to Eden - to bring positive change to people's lives.

Including the excluded
Our facilitated day trips to Eden offer socially excluded individuals the chance to get away from everyday life and the inspiration to be able to take positive steps forward.

Healthy walking club
The Eden Project hosts a weekly walking club for people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, to help improve their health and reduce the amount of time they spend in hospital.

Gardening with the disabled
A unique programme offering horticulture skills at Eden's plant nursery is offering a truly life-changing experience for people whose lives have been affected by disability.

Winning prizes together
We collaborated with homeless shelters and prisons to design, grow and man inspirational garden exhibits at the Chelsea Flower Show. Together we've won two medals.

We helped develop this programme with football clubs to provide homeless people the opportunity to learn practical skills in everything from physio to grounds maintenance.

We offer essential life skills to offenders in South West prisons, including business training and horticulture. Together, we've won medals at the Chelsea Flower Show.
