New gin is among the bestsellers for Christmas on Eden’s online webshop

The Eden Project and Tarquin’s Cornish Gin have unveiled a new, limited-edition collaboration inspired by the scents and flavours of Eden’s tropical zone - Tarquin’s Rainforest Peppered Pineapple Gin.

The new gin, among the bestsellers for Christmas on Eden’s online webshop, features pressed pineapple balanced with a warm spice from exotic peppercorns to create a fruity marriage of the Cornish coast and tropical rainforests.

Eden’s horticultural team joined Master Distiller Tarquin Leadbetter on a tour of the Rainforest Biome and its vast array of plants, herbs and fruits to determine what ingredients would be best suited as a celebration of the world’s largest undercover rainforest.

They selected a mixture of peppercorns to create a light spice note which balances perfectly with fresh pineapple juice added after distillation for a fresh, balanced gin.

Every bottle is hand-filled, labelled and signed by the award-winning Southwestern Distillery, and is available at the Eden Project shop and online at www.edenproject.com/shop

This latest creation is the second collaboration between the Eden Project and Tarquin’s Cornish Gin following their celebration of the Mediterranean Biome – a balanced dry gin with lemon, thyme, rosemary and sage.

Cassie Boyle, Eden’s Retail Manager, said: “We love Tarquin’s Rainforest Peppered Pineapple Gin and it is proving incredibly popular with our customers.

“With Christmas around the corner, this is one of the many wonderful gift-giving ideas available on our online shop to bring joy and warmth to loved ones this winter.”

Another popular gift-giving choice is the Eden Project canopy closed garden. These stylish homes for indoor greenery are individually handmade from completely recycled glass and feature a cork lid. They are designed specifically for the Eden Project.

Buyers are also discovering the Eden Project wildflower seedbom gift set. Perfect for 'guerilla gardeners' everywhere, each gift set comprises a pollinator beebom, cornflower fieldbom, butterfly bom and a featherbom (to attract birds). They are handmade in the UK from recycled and biodegradable materials. The wildflower seedboms are great fun for children or for adding little bits of colour and wildlife to different parts of a neglected space.
