Dr Phil Le Grice
Dr Phil Le Grice is the Director of The Rural Economy at The Cornwall College Group, and has also been Principal of Duchy College since 2018.
Dr Phil Le Grice grew up on a farm in mid Devon. He studied Agriculture at Seale Hayne; and after graduating, worked on farms in Devon and Kent.
Phil was awarded a PhD research opportunity at Seale-Hayne College, working with the Jersey State Department of Agriculture, where he studied the impacts of frost protection systems on potato crops. Following this, he worked for the Agricultural Training Board, before becoming Director of Trials and Research at Duchy College in 1998.
In 2015, Phil took over as Principal of Bicton College and Director of The Rural Economy at The Cornwall College Group and in 2018 also became Principal of Duchy College.
He oversees Eden Project Learning, Bicton College, Duchy College Rosewarne and Duchy College Stoke Climsland, as well as partnerships on many other sites in Devon and Cornwall.
