Karen is an academic advisor, teacher and professional shepherd with a passion for conservation, wildlife and ethnobotany. Born and brought up in Africa, she trained at Harper Adams Agricultural College and Plymouth University, with field work in Tanzania on ethnobotanical practises.

Karen has worked widely in the Agricultural industry in the UK, which led to her living permanently in Cornwall. She followed her passion of shepherding, eventually having her own pedigree Romney Marsh sheep. Prior to working with Eden Project Learning, Karen taught practical skills of husbandry and management at Cornwall College for 14 years.

Karen has a wide range of skills gained from her teaching career, including meeting deadlines, organisation skills, proof reading, delivering presentations and academic writing. She is practical, enthusiastic, and a great listener.
