Have a howl of a time at Halloweden this half term
The rink returns with a larger skating area this year and is open to skaters from 11am until 5pm throughout the week (October 24 to November 1). Skating costs £5 for 40 minutes on top of the usual Eden admission price.
Due to popular demand, the Little Monsters’ Ball returns this year for two evenings. Visitors can join in the spook-tacular fun on October 30 and 31, trying if they dare some tasty treats, joining in the spooky disco in the Mediterranean Biome or taking a spine-tingling walk through the Biomes at night.
Throughout the whole half term, visitors can enter the enchanted world of the Wishcraft Tent to meet crazy characters, make perfectly putrid perfumes, try Terry Tompson’s Terrifyingly Tasty Tinctures and see real owls in the Spiral Garden next to The Core building and bats at the Banrock Garden in front of the Biomes.
They can also enjoy special spells workshops, scary face painting and pumpkin-carving demonstrations.
Susan Hill, Eden’s Marketing Director, said: “Last year was the first year for our Little Monsters' Ball, which sold out so quickly that this year we have decided to run it on two evenings.
“The disco will be in the Mediterranean Biome for added spookiness and we hope as many children and mums and dads come in fancy dress as they did last year. With a bigger rink, our wishcraft tent and more spooky treats, Halloween at Eden this year is going to be fang-tastic!”
Tickets for the Little Monsters Ball are £7 each and can be booked along with the skating at www.edenbookings.com or 01726 811972.
From Nov 2 the rink will be open to the public from 3pm - 3.40pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and 3pm-8pm on Fridays. On Saturdays the rink is open from 12noon-8pm and Sundays 12noon – 5pm.
