A selection of top up-and-coming acts have been added to this summer’s Eden Sessions bill.

The new acts, most of whom are from the South West, will play daytime sets on two stages at Eden, the Stage Right Stage and another in the Mediterranean Biome. The performances are included in the price of a Sessions ticket.

Jane Montague, Events Production Manager at Eden, said: “Some amazing artists will be performing on our up and coming showcase stage, the Stage Right Stage, as well as the Mediterranean Biome Acoustic Stage.

”It is very exciting to see so much new talent coming to the Sessions this year There will also be a few hidden surprises and guest appearances too."

The new stages will showcase the best south west musical talent on the afternoon of every gig. Acoustic singer-songwriters Ruarri Joseph and Ben Howard are among the artists who will be taking to the stage on June 26 for the first Session, headlined by Jack Johnson. Continuing the south west theme, Newquay-based Mojave 3 will be supporting Jack on the main stage.

Bittersweet Cornish troubadours Ambassadors of Sorrow will be playing Stage Right on June 27 before Mika and Diana Vickers take to the main stage and indie four-piece the Slient Film Project will be playing before Doves and Mumford & Sons on July 2.

The flamboyant Josie and the Love Cats will be playing on the afternoon of the Calvin Harris dance extravaganza on July 3 and former Rosie and the Goldbug front-woman Rosie Vanier will be playing alongside Cornish folk six-piece All the Fires before the first Paolo Nutini and Martha Wainwright show on July 13.

Lead singer of The Hitchcock Rules Ryan Ashley Jones and Tennesee-born singer-songwriter Lauren Pritchard will be on Stage right on the second night of Paolo and Martha on July 14.

The music will start on the Stage Right Stage at midday on the day of each Session.

The 2010 Sessions will be the ninth season of summer gigs at the Eden Project. Performers in previous years include Oasis, Kasabian, Florence and the Machine, Vampire Weekend, Paul Weller, Hot Chip, Muse, Editors, Snow Patrol, Basement Jaxx, Amy Winehouse, Moby, PJ Harvey and The Verve.

Tickets are still available for Mika and Diana Vickers on June 27, Calvin Harris, Annie Mac and Audio Bullys on July 3 and the comedy Session headlined by Al Murray on July 9. Jack Johnson on June 26, Doves and Mumford & Sons on July 2 and Paolo Nutini and Martha Wainwright on July 13 and 14 are all sold out.
