A Tyrannosaurus Rex is stalking through the jungle in the Rainforest Biome at Cornwall's Eden Project this half term (February 19 to 27).

The dinosaur is the star of Eden's "time-travelling" half-term activity Rainforest Time Quest, which will see visitors following in the footsteps of great explorers and discovering prehistoric jungles and their beastly inhabitants.

Intrepid trekkers can hunt for rainforest treasures along the way and take part in workshops to design time capsules as well as hear jungle tales from Eden’s resident adventurers and storytellers.

The experience will culminate with an encounter with the moving, roaring Tyrannosaurus Rex. Throughout their visit, peple will be encouraged to think about ways to ensure that the rainforests – and humans - don’t go the way of the dinosaurs.

Emma Hogg, Eden’s Site Wide Live Producer, said: “We want to capture the spirit of great adventurers – both real and fictional – in an experience that will hopefully give our visitors an insight into why it’s so important to protect the world’s rainforests.

”We’ll use stories, workshops and, of course, our very own tame Tyrannosaurus to make sure the experience is as exciting as it is interesting.”

The Rainforest Time Quest will run continuously every day from February 19 to 27 and all activities are included in the standard Eden admission price.
