Family favourite Shaun the Sheep and friends will host a sports day with a difference at the Eden Project during the Easter school holidays.

Championsheeps Live! features a range of hilarious activities including Shirley sheep space hopper races, cabbage football keepy-uppy, a farmyard assault course and a naughty pigs sack race.

It's the world premiere of this new event produced by SGA Productions Ltd in association with Aardman Animations, the award-winning film and TV animation company behind the Shaun the Sheep series.

There will also be Get Fit with the Flock sessions where hundreds of visitors can join in hula hooping, aerobics and line dancing.

Championsheeps Live! is staged at Eden only from April 9 to May 2 and is included in the price of admission.

Emma Hogg, Eden's programme producer, said: "Championsheeps Live! is exclusive to Eden this Easter and it's going to be a raucous mix of a school sports day, a farm fete and 'It's A Knockout' throughout the Easter holidays and into early May.

"There'll be loads of fun games to play and everyone who takes part will get a reward card and a Championsheeps badge that will be presented to them on Shaun's special podium."

Richard Golezsowski, who devised the Shaun the Sheep series at Aardman Animations, said: “It has been great to see the Championsheeps project come together. I never expected to see Shaun, Shirley and the rest of the flock taking part in such comical live antics. Even the naughty pigs are involved!

“I’m looking forward to visiting with my children, and I hope many families will be able to join in the fun at the magnificent Eden Project.”

Sarah Gibbon, creative director at SGA Productions, said: “We are thrilled and delighted to have been invited by Eden to premiere our Championsheeps Live! event this Easter. We have been working hard with Eden to make sure their new visitors and regular flock will experience something very special and unique.”
