There was a minor fire in a food preparation building on the edge of the Eden Project this morning (Friday February 24).

This was caused by some packaging catching fire as food was being cooked. The building was quickly evacuated and the fire was extinguished by the internal sprinkler system and a fire crew.

A neighbouring office, The Foundation Building, was evacuated as a precaution. Four fire units attended.
No-one was injured and no visitors were affected by the fire. The building is expected to be fully operational by the end of today.
